Knowing More About Islamic Turban

The mode of dressing since time in memorial has always been influenced by a number of factors such as religion, traditions and different cultures around the world. In these scenarios, firmness has been employed in ensuring their respective followers adhere to it at all times. A good example is the use of Islamic turban for the Muslim brotherhood. This one has been there since the early days of Prophet Muhammad.

It is a piece of garment, quite lengthy and lean in size whose essential users are men for covering their heads. Since time in memorial, the use of this garment has always existed. Its establishment came with their prophet. Variations exist especially on the materials used to make it. These are wool, nylon, cotton and polyester. Regardless of this variation, the garments serve the same purpose of covering the head.

In color, they appear in variety. Some are black, others white, yellow, grey, blue and many others. Each of these colors has their own meaning and perception when one uses a turban of a certain color. In this regard, preference is wholly a matter of choice to make as long as one has knowledge about that given color he has put on.

Size on the other hand has been debatable although the holy book does denote the actual size which should be used. These are found in a chapter of the prophetic book. It denotes two measures as the typical length; between seven to ten yards. Any measure between these two is suitable for wearing. This size has been a subject of debate because nowadays, even short ones are allowed especially when they cover heads with at least one winding.

Tying this cloth around the head is done in a certain skill and way for it to appear appropriate. At first, Muslim brothers tend to have difficulty in getting this right. With time, they get used to it and perfect. In this regard, the crown of the head should be completely covered during tying. If done so tight, headaches are bound to occur.

The attire is quite useful in various aspects with regards to Islam. Those wearing this are viewed as men with a high sense of manhood in them. He is accorded much respect since he deserves it as per the writings in their holy book. It is a good sign of total belief in this faith.

When praying, the use of this piece of cloth is a must. Some view bare heads while in prayers as a sign of laziness and abomination to the religious aspect. In this modern time, praying with a turban on the head is no longer an abomination as some view this as a way of total humility before Allah.

The use of Islamic turban also creates a clear dissimilarity between Muslims and non Muslims brothers within the society. It is their way of identification. In this regard, they find it easy to spot those of their religion, socialize and strengthen ties with them. The underlying belief being it is of great return.
