Ways To Wear A White Turban

Ways To Wear A White Turban

By Nita McKinney

A lot of women feel that an outfit is not complete until some sort of head covering has been added. Some ladies choose to wear head gear because simply for their beauty and others to cover unruly hair or hide alopecia. A white turban is a classic option that is a sophisticated answer to most any cap need.

There was a time when mentioning a turban automatically brought to mind a covering worn my specific religious groups. In the world of today, however, this term now covers a broad spectrum of snug fitting head gear that resembles the namesake in any way. Winding one with a scarf is an acquired, yet unnecessary skill since they may now be purchased as permanent forms that slip on like a hat.

One can achieve any number of looks suitable for just about any occasion just by selecting fabrics with different prints or adding various embellishments to the finished product. A big flower, cute bow, shiny jewel or sparkly sequin can quickly transform plain to amazing in no time. It also allows a person to create a one of a kind design.

From simplified headband wraps to stretchable caps, turbans are so much more versatile than they once were. They are the leading choice of head covering among women who are undergoing treatments for cancerous conditions or who suffer from alopecia. If one’s hair is being uncooperative or is in dire need of a trip to the beauty salon, slipping into this type of headdress can hide those issues until they can be resolved.

These coverings range from a simple white scarf to an elaborately embellished cloth cap. They may be worn to a formal affair just as easily as they can be donned around the house. When made of terry cloth, a turban can replace a towel as an alternative way to dry one’s hair after a shower or a dip in the pool.

The Hermes style is a popular and easy way to achieve a versatile look. Simply fold the fabric into a triangle and lay it across the head and tie the extended ends over the open flap. A whole new feel comes with each change in the placement of the knot whether it be over the forehead, at the nape of the neck or on the side.

Caps are available that look as if they have been carefully wrapped and twisted though they are actually hats that require no more work than simply being slipped onto the head. Tucking all one’s hair up under the band may lend an air of mystery or sophistication. Allowing the bangs, curls or tresses to extend out from beneath the edges can soften the look and add a bit of fun.

A white turban can be made from a long scarf or purchased as a hat and serve as the finishing touch on most any outfit. The options are so vast that it possible to never have the same look twice. Regardless of one’s preferred style, they may all be personalized through the addition of trinkets and accessories that will make the ensemble completely unique.
